Having started his career in local journalism, Ian has been both an editorial director and a head of content as part of his time at some of the UK's leading business magazines and top B2B PR agencies.
His passion lies in the craft of content creation; he’s spent the past decade helping marketing agencies of all shapes and sizes come up with ideas and see them through to fruition.
Business publications Ian has worked for include Marketing Week, Precision Marketing, Data Strategy, and government-focused titles ModernGov, Criminal Justice IT and Government IT.
More recently, Ian’s focus has been on creating industry reports around specific issues to help agencies attract brands, publishing the content through owned, earned and bought media channels.

Charlie started his career in design before moving into business publishing at Link House Magazines in the late Eighties. He then joined Centaur Media to work on Precision Marketing, which had been launched in 1988 as the first weekly magazine covering the DM sector.
Charlie switched to Marketing Week in the mid-Nineties, eventually becoming associate editor, before returning to Precision Marketing in 2000 as editor.
During his seven years on the title, Charlie was also a key member of the team which launched Data Strategy, taking on the post of editor in chief, in addition to his role at Precision Marketing.
He left Centaur in 2008 to set up his own editorial consultancy McKelvey Ink, advising client companies, agencies and suppliers on their content strategies.
In 2011, Charlie also launched Decision Marketing, which remains the UK's only independently-owned online magazine solely dedicated to the direct, digital and data-driven marketing industries.
